🌟 While attendance is important, the health of our students and schools comes first. 🌟 If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home. Allowing a child with a fever to attend school can increase the risk of spreading illness to classmates and teachers, affecting everyone's well-being. Let's prioritize health and safety to maintain a positive learning environment for all. Seniors at New Tech High @ Coppell recently participated in the school’s annual Senior Charity Showcase, which highlights the Project-Based Learning happening at the school. At the event, students showcased their research on various charities and presented their findings to evaluators, including district administrators, CISD Trustees and community members. As part of the project, students explored each charity's mission, purpose, reach, financials, and other critical data, compiling this information into both verbal and visual presentations. Teams also developed strategies to engage the New Tech community in fundraising initiatives for the chosen charity. Each team member delivered an individual pitch to the evaluators, honing their public speaking, research and analytical skills. This project strengthens students' abilities to analyze real-world organizations and equips them with valuable skills for future careers, where research, communication and presentation expertise are key.

πŸ“ Just a friendly reminder for our CISD parents: When your child is absent from school, please ensure you use the School Absence Note Form to share a reason for an absence. Failure to provide any note within 3 school days of the student’s return to school may result in an unexcused absence. Some absence types will require that documentation be uploaded for campus consideration. The form is available at www.coppellisd.com/attendance. Your cooperation helps us maintain accurate attendance records and support your child's educational journey! When students are absent β€” regardless of the reason β€” they miss out on the instruction and practice that keeps their learning on track. This puts them at a disadvantage compared to their peers and could become a problem during progress monitoring and assessment, causing them to fall behind academically. #CoppellISD #AttendanceRecords #ParentalSupport #EveryDayCounts #StudentSuccess πŸ«πŸ’»
